Quick answers

The questions recruiters ask first

Which roles are you looking for?

Product, Data, Business and BI Analyst roles. I'd also enjoy BI developer roles where the work sits close to the business.

Where can you work?

I'm based in London and happy to work anywhere in the UK, or in India: Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru or elsewhere.

Do you have the right to work?

Yes, in both the UK and India.

On-site, hybrid or remote?

I'm happy with any of these, and open to relocating within the UK or India.

How much experience do you have?

Over two years in analytics (Feb 2024 – Mar 2026), plus a year in a customer-facing role where I shared daily performance updates with regional leadership.

What did you do most recently?

I was a Data Visualisation Engineer II at Lauren Group, an analytics partner, working with Skoda Auto Volkswagen India and Sentry Management Solutions.

Which tools do you use daily?

Mostly SQL, Python, R, Power BI (DAX), Tableau and Excel, alongside Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt and Git.

Which industries do you know?

Automotive sales and warranty, transport operations, and customer and commercial analytics, as well as public data on deprivation, ageing and energy.

What is your education?

MSc Data Science, University of Sheffield (2026). BEng Electronics, University of Mumbai (2022).

Why move from BI engineering to analysis?

I've enjoyed building reporting systems end to end, and the part I've found most rewarding is working with people to decide what to measure and what to do next. I'd love to spend more of my time on the question and the recommendation.

When can you start?

I'm flexible and happy to agree a start date that works for the team.

Can I see your work?

Of course. There are seven case studies under Work, each with the full report, and the playground lets you check the numbers yourself. References are available on request.

How do I contact you quickly?

Email, a call or WhatsApp is quickest: srujanpailwar498@gmail.com, call +44 7342 908052 (UK) or WhatsApp +91 98757 05275 (India).
